Tadashi Shoji’s FW 16 show, held at Moynihan Station, combined tribal inspirations, body-suits, and sequins to produce a diverse and elegant display. The collection embraced the female body, exhibiting a blend of floor-length and form-fitting pieces and reflecting Shoji’s expertise in evening wear.
The clothing was unified in nature but left nothing out. The mix of poised models and glimmering gowns exuded a mystical and ethereal mood in the room. Neutral tones comprised the majority of the pieces with occasional pops of orange, blue, and red. As the models took their final walk all together it was hard not to stare in awe at the sheer impressiveness of the lavish collection.
